Our Purpose
“Preserving our heritage, telling our story.”
Whether it be championing traditional
values and expressions of African American life, or
cultivating a political culture that addresses the issues of
the African American constituency; Freedom’s Journal Magazine
aims to be the political voice of conservative reform. Our aim is to provide the standard for black conservatism, and bridge the gap between the African American voter and its historically Republican Party principles.
As the editors of the Freedom’s Journal Newspaper said, “we wish to plead our cause. Too long have others spoken for us.” (Editors FJN 1827)
We believe that “our cause requires that we stand for what we say we believe, and that we actively engage in the political process that represents us.” (Editors FJM 2007)
